Audience Development Professional
06/12/2022
The UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is seeking an experienced audience development & marketing professional to work flexibly to explore the charity’s existing and potential audiences, and to implement a new audience development and marketing plan.
PROJECT BRIEF SUMMARY
We are seeking to appoint an audience development & marketing professional to deliver a fixed-term project to identify audiences, create a roadmap and embed audience within our business.
We have a small but ambitious team encompassing public engagement, Antarctic operations, fundraising, retail and communications. Audience development is key to our future, and the post holder will be expected to identify new and existing audiences and devise opportunities for engagement across these programme areas.
Our operation is unusual; our museum is in Antarctica and Port Lockroy is a popular visitor landing site for ship-based visitors during the Austral summer (November – March). We welcome c. 18,000 visitors each season to the island which has a penguin colony, gift shop and post office. Our visitors come from all over the world. In the UK, we work with partners to deliver public engagement programmes encompassing school workshops, community initiatives, webinars and podcasts.
Working with the UKAHT team – in particular the Heads of Buildings & Conservation, Development, Operations, Programmes, Finances, and Communications and Marketing – you will work to develop a roadmap for audience development.
Please review the full Project Brief including project objectives, scope, journey, deliverables and success criteria.
