The UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is seeking an electrician to support the planning and implementation of vital electrical upgrades at Port Lockroy (Base A) in Antarctica during the 2022-23 austral season. 

You will work as part of a small team of five others to help open Base A, Port Lockroy, at the start of the 2022-2023 season. You will join the team at the beginning of the season to help undertake vital electrical upgrades, including connecting an existing solar array to a new building. Prior to deployment, you will coordinate with the Head of Buildings and Conservation and our external electrical consultants to ensure the right equipment is procured, strategy confirmed, and potential conservation issues addressed. On completion of works, you will provide as built electrical drawings, operation instructions, and written reports on work undertaken and recommendations for future work.
