Our People

We have many people working for us and on our behalf to realise our vision of championing Antarctic heritage for all. We have a small but dedicated team working in Cambridge who run our all our operations in the UK and in Antarctica. We employ a team each year to work on the Antarctic Peninsula at Port Lockroy and to carry out conservation work at our other sites. As a registered charity, we are governed by a Board of Trustees drawn from many walks of life and share their expertise and time to ensure we are achieving our aims.

Opportunities to work with UKAHT

Each year we recruit a small team of staff to work at the historic site of Base A, Port Lockroy in Antarctica (November to March) and run the museum, shop, Post Office and maintenance programme.   We start the recruitment process at least six months in advance to ensure we get the right people and have enough time to train and brief them before they go.

We also occasionally recruit for our executive and operational team in the UK, so please keep a close eye on our jobs pages for any current vacancies.
