Antarctica 100

In the last 100 years Antarctica has grown in world importance from the last great unknown wilderness to the largest science laboratory in the world. Much of this impressive development can be traced back to the exploits of those heroic leaders of expeditions to the white wilderness.

The founding members of Antarctica 100 at their first meeting at the Scott Polar Research Institute Cambridge, January 1999.

Antarctica 100 is a network of organisation within Britain with any sort of polar heritage interest. As well as working together on mutual information exchange, collectively they aim to generate wider public interest in the achievements of these heroic polar expeditions during their centenary period 2001 - 2016.

The following organisations are members of ANTARCTICA 100
